CHRISTOPHER is my name Fishing is my game shirt
I was born in a little town called Lund in British Columbia. It's like a fishing village. My parents were hippies. They tried to live off the land, so I grew up in a log cabin, and we didn't get running water until I was 4. The next year, we got electricity. Then we moved to the city, Victoria, British Columbia, so I could go to school.
I look at trees, hunt mushrooms, and watch animals. Fishing is what gets me out into the woods so I can notice these things.
A fisherman is a jerk on one end of the line, waiting for a jerk on the other.
Other than fishing and a little bird-hunting, all I do is write.
My youngest brother and I went on a ten-day canoe trip in Bowron Provincial Park in British Columbia years ago. Believe it or not, we took only granola, thinking we'd be eating a lot of lake trout. Well, we neglected to bring along a net, and our fishing line was only 8-lb. test.

What I miss most about living in Alaska is the fishing.
I was an only child of a father who loved me deeply, but we didn't play catch, even though I was an athlete. We didn't go fishing or hunting or any of the things I wanted to do. Why not? He just didn't do that.
Hooked on Fishing!!
Sell a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach a man how to fish, you ruin a wonderful business opportunity. ~Karl Marx
