Fishing American Club
In every species of fish I've angled for, it is the ones that have got away that thrill me the most, the ones that keep fresh in my memory._ So I say it is good to lose fish._ If we didn't, much of the thrill of angling would be gone. ~Ray Bergman
FISH ‘TILL YOU PUKE
There is certainly something in angling that tends to produce a serenity of the mind. ~Washington Irving
New York has an amazing history of farming and fishing that goes right back to the Pilgrim Fathers. At its core are the four seasons, which are distinct, well-established and similar to those in Lyon, where my family lives: when it's snowing in New York, a week later it will be snowing there.

I was born in a little town called Lund in British Columbia. It's like a fishing village. My parents were hippies. Then we moved to the city, Victoria, British Columbia, so I could go to school.
My youngest brother and I went on a ten-day canoe trip in Bowron Provincial Park in British Columbia years ago. Believe it or not, we took only granola, thinking we'd be eating a lot of lake trout. Well, we neglected to bring along a net, and our fishing line was only 8-lb. test.

Until I was twelve years old, I led this wandering life, fishing, swimming, and making moccasins.
