Sipping Fishing and No Bitching
I grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. My dad took me hunting, trapping and fishing when I was a kid.
I can go without make-up and go fishing with my dad; other times, I buy pink shoes and shop for dresses.
I was born in a little town called Lund in British Columbia. It's like a fishing village. My parents were hippies. They tried to live off the land, so I grew up in a log cabin, and we didn't get running water until I was 4. The next year, we got electricity. Then we moved to the city, Victoria, British Columbia, so I could go to school.
I would love to do something like 'Fishing With John.'

FISH ‘TILL YOU PUKE
Scholars have long known that fishing eventually turns men into philosophers._ Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to buy decent tackle on a philosopher's salary. ~Patrick McManus
The two biggest things that translate from the pitching mound to hunting and fishing are patience and perseverance. When you're on the mound, you have to take the game one pitch at a time, regardless of the score, and that approach helps when I'm in the woods or on the water as well.
I like to catch fish and release them. I probably haven't killed a fish that I've caught in sport fishing for 20 years. No reason to kill it. You know, just take it and release it.
